Bonn/Würzburg – AXSOL, a leading provider of innovative energy solutions, is pleased to announce that the delivery of three multi-hybrid energy containers to the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) has been successfully completed. The aim of the project was to ensure a secure, permanent, sustainable power supply for vehicle depots and civil protection and disaster relief operations. The project was carried out together with the company INHAG Zelte und Zubehör, which supplied the mobile vehicle halls.

The MHES supplied by AXSOL offer an innovative form of power supply with a maximum output of 19.2 kW. Five direct methanol fuel cells, each with a generating capacity of 500 W, provide the majority of the power generation. The energy generated is temporarily stored in lithium iron phosphate batteries with a storage capacity of 56.8 kWh. An inverter system enables consumers to be supplied with 230/400 V alternating voltage. In addition, a gasoline generator and two mobile ARVEY E-Fill X2000 solar systems with an output of 2 kWp each can be connected together or separately to each energy container to create additional generating capacity and resilience. The battery storage system can also be charged via a household socket to ensure maximum flexibility.

The multi-hybrid energy containers are designed to be bullet-proof in accordance with class FB2 (DIN EN 1522) to protect components and personnel inside from light caliber and ricochets. An active climate control system with ventilation function has been specially adapted to the waste heat from the components and combines heating and cooling functions to keep the interior temperature at an ideal level between 16 and 28 °C. To ensure fire protection, a coordinated fire detection and nitrogen extinguishing system is integrated into the container.

“We are proud to support the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance in this important project,” said Jürgen Zinecker, Managing Director of AXSOL. “The multi-hybrid energy containers provide an innovative, reliable and sustainable power supply in critical situations and help to improve safety and efficiency in civil protection and disaster relief.”

AXSOL remains committed to developing and providing innovative energy solutions to meet the ever-growing challenges in the field of energy supply.
