AXSOL GmbH (hereafter AXSOL) and IT service provider CGI announced their partnership in the field of “deployable IT in combination with power and energy components” at this year’s NATO Edge Conference in Belgium.

AXSOL Managing Director Jürgen Zinecker and Jens Elstermeier, Senior Vice President, Head of Defence and Intelligence at CGI, signed the contract on site.

In military operations, information superiority has so far played a key role in the success of a mission. In future, however, the superiority of military energy supply will become even more central.

The aim of the cooperation is to enrich IT systems for military command and control processes with sensor data from mobile power storage solutions such as those developed by AXSOL.

The collected data will provide military command personnel with an overview of the condition and durability of the mobile power storage solutions used in the field.

This kind of monitoring and forecasting of military power infrastructure is an absolute novelty worldwide. Through the cooperation between AXSOL and CGI, military decision-makers will in future be able to obtain a fully comprehensive situation picture of the energy supply in use at any time.
